Growley Pipes

The Horned Tomato: (SOLD)

August 6, 2014Growleyarchived 2014

The perfect pipe to guide you down the long tail of August, through the heart-string pluckings of autumn, and into the winter chill! You need a little texture against your fingers now and again to remind you that you’re alive, after all. With such a wide embrace and a classic style, this pairs with everything from a cup of coffee on a foggy morning to a hot toddy on a blustery winter’s night.

– Panegyrics by Adam Whipple

This pipe was hand carved from the finest Italian briar and accented with some beautiful horn. It was blasted to accent the very nice ring grain circumferencing the bowl. The shank extension is a pretty piece of horn.

This military mount stem was hand cut out of German Green Cumberland Ebonite, and  was fashioned with a comfort bit. As with all my pipes, I’ve opened this pipe up properly to give it the the right air flow to provide a cool dry smoke.
