This freehand creation shows some unique transitions between hard and soft lines. Natural plateaux was left on the bowl and shank end to offset the blasted panels on the sides of the bowl. The smooth sections show some very nice flame grain and birds eye. This pipe was cut from the finest Italian briar.
The stem was hand cut out of German Cumberland Ebonite, and fashioned with a comfort bit. As with all my pipes, I’ve opened this pipe up properly to give it the the right air flow to provide a cool dry smoke.
